How is it dye free?

We have carefully selected micas that are free of lake and synthetic dyes and do not add any lake or synthetic dyes to our balms. Our mica is colored with natural oxides and dioxides and natural dyes ONLY. We only use ethically sourced mica from reputable companies.

Why are the tops of some Bitty Balm products not perfectly smooth?

Bitty Balm products are free of phthalates, plasticizers, and other potentially toxic chemicals that give other balms a manufactured, 'perfect' finish. Our balms are hand-poured, and we add a drop of argan oil to the top of each cap to ensure they release cleanly. You can swipe that extra bit of oil on your skin and enjoy its benefits!

How do I know which color to buy?

Choosing the right color depends on your skin tone and the look you're aiming for. Our lighter shades like Blush, Bubbly, Bright, and Bamboo provide a subtle and sheer look on fair skin and a more noticeable contrast on darker skin. Medium intensity shades include Bang Bang, Bronze, and Brandy. For a more pigmented look, opt for Berry and Bordeaux. All our balms can be layered for more color or blended into the skin for a softer look.
