Welcome to Bitty Balm. By using bittybalm.com (the "Site") or buying our products, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as plain-English as we can — but a few legal pieces have to stay in.

1. Who we are. Bitty Balm is a small-batch clean beauty brand based in Highland Park, Illinois. "We," "us," and "our" mean Bitty Balm. "You" means you, the person browsing or buying.

2. Eligibility. You need to be at least 18 to make a purchase. If you're a kid using our products (Bitty Balm is kid-safe!), a grown-up needs to handle the order.

3. Orders & accounts. When you place an order, you're making us an offer to buy. We can accept or decline any order for any reason — including stock issues, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel, we'll refund you in full. Account info you give us needs to be accurate, and you're responsible for keeping your login secure.

4. Pricing & payment. All prices are in USD. We can change prices at any time, but changes won't affect orders already placed. Sales tax is added at checkout where required. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the full amount.

5. Products & color accuracy. Our balms are made by hand in small batches, so there's natural variation between sticks — slight differences in tone, finish, or feel are part of the charm, not a defect. Colors shown on screens depend on your device and may not perfectly match the real thing.

6. Skin sensitivity & safety. Bitty Balm is clean, dye-free, and made with real ingredients — but every skin is different. Always patch-test a new product before full use, especially if you have allergies or sensitive skin. If you experience irritation, stop using it. Our products aren't intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. The full ingredient list is available on every product page — please read it before using.

7. Returns, refunds & shipping. Our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy are part of these Terms. Please read them.

8. Intellectual property. Everything on this Site — logos, text, images, video, packaging design, the Bitty Balm name — belongs to us (or is licensed to us) and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You can browse and share for personal, non-commercial use. You can't copy, resell, or use our content for your own brand without written permission.

9. User content. If you post a review, photo, comment, or tag us on social media, you're giving us permission to share that content on our website, marketing, and socials, with credit. You confirm you have the rights to anything you post and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

10. Honest reviews. We love reviews. They have to be your real, honest experience — no paid placements without disclosure, no posting on behalf of competitors, and no harassment.

11. Disclaimer. The Site and our products are provided "as is." We make no warranties beyond what the law requires. We don't promise the Site will always be available, error-free, or virus-free. Use it at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bitty Balm isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the Site or our products is capped at the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnification. You agree to defend and hold harmless Bitty Balm, our team, and our partners from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Site, your purchases, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.

14. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

15. Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when posted. If changes are material, we'll do our best to notify you. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept them.
